The Tarasque Bundle

The Tarasque has been an iconic name (although spelled differently) in the world of Dungeons and Dragons for so long that most people have forgotten that the monster originates in ancient Christian folklore. The story of the Tarasque first appears in a work known as The Golden Legend, and the bundle we are giving away at the end of this week focuses entirely on the mythology of this legendary monster and the lore surrounding its reign of terror and eventual defeat.

This bundle includes a one-shot, titled "Terror of the Tarasque," in which your party is hired to protect and guide two sisters making their way into the northern wilderness of the Roman empire. This one-shot can be tailored to suit players of any level.

This bundle includes a separate document which details the lore and history of the tarasque, all based on the original, thousand-year-old text of the golden legend. This document also features several different versions of the monster so that the GM can provide a CR-appropriate challenge for parties from levels 1-20 without needing to alter the HP or abilities on the fly.

If you know someone who owns a 3D printer, you can print a tarasque mini to feature at your next game! The STL file for printing this mini is also included in the tarasque bundle. 

Don't play in person? We've got something for you too! All art from the bundle has been converted into VTT ready maps and tokens. This bundle does not include support for a specific VTT platform, but the art pack can be uploaded to any platform of your choice.

Fulfillment Update: Week 4

Home Stretch

The minis have begun arriving this week, which means we have entered the home stretch for fulfillment. Now that fulfillment process is fully under our control, we hope to have all rewards packed and shipped by the start of next week.  With the holidays on the horizon it is reasonable to expect some shipping delays; However, based on the reasonably efficient deliveries of our last few batches, we are optimistic that this entire campaign will be wrapped up within two weeks or so.

Check Your Digital Downloads!

You should have received a notification from BackerKit this week that you have downloads available from your BackerKit survey. To access these, you simply need to log into your survey and go to the last page of the survey, where you can find the large blue "Get Your Digital Downloads" button, as shown below.

Regardless of your reward level, there are surely some goodies to be found here, and we don't want you to miss out! Most recently, to show our appreciation for your support through this process, we have added a complimentary Computer Desktop Background Art Pack. These desktop backgrounds are available in single monitor and dual monitor formats, and feature full resolution art from Azrael's Guide to the Apocalypse. Add some flair to your desktop with art of your favorite heroes or villains from the adventure!

Another Journey Nears Its End.

We want to thank you so much for going on this journey with us. Projects like this could never exist without the support of backers like you. Updates for this project will likely start to slow down after this, since we anticipate fulfillment ending in the next two weeks, at which point there will be little left to "update" you on. Nevertheless, please feel free to reach out at any time with questions or concerns. Fulfillment Progress: Week 3

Update: Mini Delay

We have received an update from our manufacturer regarding the delay of the Four Horsemen Minis. The first half of the order has shipped and should be delivered to us sometime next week. The second half of the order is expected to ship by the end of next week, to be delivered to us sometime the following week. Our fulfillment team is standing by and will begin shipping out rewards to you as soon as the minis start rolling in. The bottom line: if you are receiving the "Everything Bundle" or if your rewards include the Four Horsemen Minis, you will likely receive your package by mid-December. This estimate based on the latest information from our manufacturer, and if anything changes, we will post an update right away to keep you up to date. 

Unfortunately as we get closer to Christmas, shipping lanes will start getting bogged down. We will do our best to get all rewards in the mail before the Christmas rush gets into full swing, but we can only get packages out the door as fast as our manufacturer can supply us with the minis, so Lilly will keep her fingers crossed.

A Note About Late Surveys

The deadline for completing surveys and submitting payment for shipping costs was a long time ago. However, there are still some surveys that have only just been completed and submitted in the last few weeks. Please note that if your survey was submitted late, then your order has been placed in a batch at the back of our fulfillment queue. In other words, the last surveys to be completed are likely the last to be fulfilled, even if your reward did not include the Horsemen minis. We still hope to get all of these rewards fulfilled as quickly as possible, but hopefully that helps clarify our process for those of you who are wondering.

Fulfillment Update: Deliveries and Delays

 Last week saw a lot of activity as the dice, cards, and books were delivered to our fulfillment team from the manufacturer. Many packages have already been shipped out this week, but more on that later.

Delay: Four Horseman Minis

We were expecting the Four Horseman Minis to arrive by today or tomorrow, but we have heard from the manufacturer that several of their workers have been out due to sickness, which has delayed the mass production of our minis. We don't expect this to delay production more than a week or so, but we will keep you updated with specifics as the situation unfolds. For now, we just want to notify you that if your order includes the Four Horsemen Minis, then it has NOT yet shipped. We're really sorry about the delay, and we will be shipping out your package as soon as the minis arrive.

Until then... Lilly is going to be running some games in the warehouse while she waits. 

Over 200 Orders Shipped this Week.

If your order did not include the Four Horsemen Minis, then Lilly put your package in the mail at the beginning of this week. How long your shipment will be in transit depends mostly on where you live, but most backers in the continental United States should expect delivery within one week, and most international backers should expect delivery within 2-3 weeks.

What if my rewards are damaged?

Lilly makes every effort to inspect rewards before they are shipped out to ensure quality, but in the unlikely event that your rewards are damaged in transit, don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected] with pictures of the damaged items and we will do our best to fix the problem.
