"The Harrowing" Arrives October 1
As a reminder, "The Harrowing" is scheduled to release on October 1, one week from today. This 55 page supplement includes a new subclass, monsters, and magic items compatible with Azrael's Guide to the Apocalypse, and a full adventure designed for level 12. This adventure can be slotted into an ongoing campaign of Azrael'sGuide, or else played as a spooky standalone adventure that is perfect for GMs looking for something creepy to add to their games around Halloween.

After another round of follow-up phone calls this week, it sounds like ALL of our manufacturing partners are on schedule and getting ready to finish production and start shipping products to us in late October. In preparation for our move into the "fulfillment" phase, we are officially moving up the credit card charge date to September 25. On this date, we will be charging your credit cards for shipping fees, as well as any add-ons that were purchased after the conclusion of the Kickstarter. There has been no increase in shipping estimates since surveys went out, so shipping costs have not changed. If you need a reminder of what fees are still owed on your account, you can check your BackerKit survey which will note your shipping fees and cost of add-ons. This update serves as your two-week notice; please make sure that your credit card information is up to date and that there is room on the card for the remaining balance to be charged. Your order cannot be processed until shipping fees have been collected, which may lead to a delay in the fulfillment of your order.
A Note About Addresses: If you have plans to move or other issues with your fulfillment address, you will still have an opportunity to update your address, even after your card has been charged after September 25. We will be in touch to confirm final delivery addresses when we get closer to fulfillment.
Heroes of the HeavenlyHost Release
The Heroes of the Heavenly Host PDF has been released. Regardless of whether you purchased the physical deck or the digital-only reward, the PDF booklet is now available for download through the BackerKit Digital Downloads feature. The Heroes file is a zipped folder containing the full resolution PDF booklet (with bookmarks and colors optimized for digital viewing), a printer friendly version (with textures removed and colors optimized for print), and a folder of NPC tokens for use in your VTT platform of choice.
From the conversations on our Discord Server, it sounds like a lot of you are already playing through Azrael's Guide to the Apocalypse! Hopefully the release of this expanded selection of heroes adds some fresh faces to your game (and keeps your GM on their toes!)
As a note, if your rewards included the physical Heroes of the Heavenly Host deck, this reward is still in production and will ship along with the rest of your physical rewards.

Player Startup Guide
Because some of our wonderful GMs out there requested it, we have uploaded a "Player Startup Guide" for Azrael's Guide to the Apocalypse. This guide includes a brief introduction to the setting (without revealing any major surprises), all new subclass options for the setting, and the stat block for the new Warlock familiar, the Chalkydri Fledgling. This should allow GMs to more easily share information with their players during character creation, without revealing any of the other information from the module. This startup guide also includes a one-sheet content sensitivity checklist that players can fill out and return to their GM to streamline conversations around content before the game begins. There are plenty of resources like this already online, but we felt that it would be helpful to include one in this format to specifically address the content in this adventure.
Manufacturing continues to move on schedule. On the physical side of things, the project is entirely out of our hands, and we are at the mercy of our manufacturing partners' timelines and the supply chain (which is a very uncertain phase). However, Our last round of "check-ins" with our fulfillment partners have confirmed that everything is moving ahead on schedule. In fact, our current projections suggest that we will be delivering ahead of schedule. We don't want to make a formal announcement at this time, since history tells us that plenty can go wrong during the "shipping" phase of the project. However, we will likely be moving toward charging credit cards and locking addresses a bit earlier than initially planned. Our original estimate for charging credit cards was October 31; this date is now likely to be moved forward and will occur sometime in September. We will give a more specific date in an upcoming announcement, and we will not charge credit cards without first giving you a two week minimum heads up.
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead, we have two new digital rewards rolling out before we head into fulfilling the physical rewards. Heroes of the Heavenly Host, the digital expansion to the new "recruiting" mechanic introduced in Azrael's Guide to the Apocalypse which features a total of 48 "heroes" will be available in the digital downloads page for select backers on September 8, and The Harrowing, a mini-adventure featuring an extra subclass, expanded lore, and additional magic items and monsters, will go public for select backers on October 1. Considering the spooky tone of The Harrowing, we were originally thinking of releasing on Halloween, but there are plenty of groups that are already beginning to prepare and play the main campaign, so we're putting it out a little sooner to make sure it can slot in at level 12 for those who choose to do so.
PDF Release and Manufacturing Update

PDF Release
The PDF version of Azrael's Guide to the Apocalypse and the add-on newspaper Rise of the Antichrist have been delivered! To access your rewards, simply return to your Backerkit Survey using the link that was sent to you by email from Backerkit, or by using this link.
When you return to your survey, make sure you go to the last page, which looks like this. You should now see a "Get your digital downloads" button. Clicking this button will take you to your downloads page.
Once you have accessed this page, you should see a list of your available downloads. Simply click "download" to receive your digital rewards.
Manufacturing Update
The dice, cards, and minis all appear to be on schedule and there have been no issues reported with the process for these rewards (yay!). The hardcover is nearing the final stages of production, but we ran into another snag with color shifting today. As of the writing of this update, we are still waiting to hear back from our printer regarding the color issue, which is frustrating, but we anticipate having the issue resolved within a few days. We still anticipate fulfilling physical rewards on time.

Fulfillment Updates
We experienced a small setback at the beginning of this month, which led to a frustrating couple of weeks. A miscommunication with our prepress team resulted in some over-inking in our first round of hard proofs. For more information about ink separations, see our previous update for this project. The error (which stemmed from an incorrect ICC color profile being applied to our book) has since been fixed, and the project is continuing to move forward. This issue took about 2 weeks to sort out, but since we planned several weeks into our fulfillment timeline to account for setbacks like this, we do not anticipate any delay in the overall fulfillment timeline. In other words, we still plan to deliver your rewards in December.
The sheet pictured here is a compilation of 8 different pages from the hardcover. These pages were chosen because they feature lots of dark colors that are prone to over-inking. As you can see in this photo, many of these pages came out undesirably dark.
Now for some good news...
The PDF formats for Azrael's Guide to the Apocalypse and Rise of the Antichrist have been officially scheduled. If you are receiving these digital rewards, they will be delivered to you on July 25th through Backerkit's digital downloads feature. Azrael'sGuide to the Apocalypse is the full (252 page) adventure module, and will be available in both "full resolution" and "printer friendly" formats. Rise of the Antichrist is an issue of a fictional newspaper that chronicles the rise to power of one of the main villains of the campaign. This was originally only available to the first 144 backers of the Kickstarter campaign, but was later made available to purchase as an add-on in the backerkit survey.
