Progress Update
A big "thank you" to the 80% of you who have completed their surveys in BackerKit! We haven't posted an update since surveys went out, so we just wanted to check in this week. There is no major news to report, other than that things are moving on schedule. For your planning purposes, take a look at our fulfillment timeline below. Keep in mind that these dates are estimates, and our actual fulfillment timeline can change depending on how quickly things come together. For an actual, moment-to-moment update on our progress, check out our Progress Report, which is always updating live as our writers, artists, and manufacturing partners complete their work.
Looking for something to do this Saturday? Drop in on our Discord Server, where one of the lead artists on our project will be discussing the design process behind some of the major characters from the book of Revelation.
Surveys and Showcases!

Surveys go out this week!
Our first major update is that surveys will begin to go out this week. Our pledge manager, BackerKit, will begin to send out surveys this weekend. The surveys will be sent out in waves, so some of you may receive the survey before others. You will recevie an invitation to complete your survey in an email from BackerKit directly. Please check your spam folders to be sure you do not miss this email. The email from BackerKit will look something like this:
After clicking on the link in your email, you will be taken to a survey where you can adjust your pledge and select additional add-ons if you wish. This survey will also collect your shipping address and credit card information so that you can be charged for the cost of shipping when we begin fulfillment.
Here is a screen shot of the first page of the survey (for a "PDF Only" backer):
Please note the small link under the green "Get Started!" button, which allows you to adjust your pledge level.
It is important to complete your survey!
Surveys will remain open until the end of May. If you have not completed your survey by the time the surveys close, we cannot guarantee that you will receive your rewards! Please complete your surveys as soon as you are able to avoid setbacks during the fulfillment process!
Collaboration Alert!
We are excited to announce that Dale Critchley, the author of Limitless Heroics and founder of Wyrmworks Publishing, will be collaborating with us as a guest designer on our "Heroes of the Heavenly Host" deck. Dale has been a long time advocate of disability representation in the ttrpg community, and we are excited to have him designing one of the NPCs for our adventure! If you are interested to take part in a conversation with Dale, we will be hosting a live conversation in our Discord Server this Saturday, February 18, at 6pm (GMT), 1pm (EST), 10am (PST). If you have never used Discord before, it is very simple, and we have some great Moderators who will be more than happy to welcome you to the server and show you around!
It Is Finished!

We're Funded!
The Kickstarter is complete, and work has officially begun on completing this project. Thank you all for your support this month; whether you are a returning backer from AGttB or just joining us for this project, we're glad you're along for the ride. Unique projects like this literally could never happen without the incredibly supportive community here on Kickstarter.
What Happens Next?
All of our artists and writers are hard at work completing the adventure module, and our manufacturing partners are standing by to begin production. On February 20, we will be reaching out to you to complete your survey through our pledge manager, Backerkit. If you have never used a pledge manager before, it is very simple. You will receive an email (directly from Backerkit) with a link to your survey. This survey will collect your shipping information, allow you to make changes to your pledge, and estimate your shipping fees. Once we are prepared to begin shipping out rewards at the end of this year, you will pay for any applicable shipping fees through Backerkit as well.
Fulfillment Timeline
All dates are subject to change, and there are a lot of moving parts to this project, but we know that it is helpful to have dates for planning purposes, even if they are just estimates. Here is our current working timeline for fulfillment.
The Kickstarter may be over, but there is plenty of excitement in the weeks to come. Playtesting is already underway for the new subclasses in our Discord Server, along with plenty of opportunities to talk to artists and writers on the project and give feedback as we bring this adventure to life! Come join our community and add to the conversation!
Into the Final Week!

We are into our final week of the campaign, and so we have a few updates to pass along!
TL;DR - it's all good news!
OGL 1.0a Remains Authorized.
Wizards of the Coast (the company that owns Dungeons and Dragons) announced yesterday that they will be leaving the Open Gaming License 1.0a untouched. There is plenty more to this announcement, but the short version, as it applies to us, is that we can confidently publish Azrael's Guide to the Apocalypse as an officially licensed 5e book without changing any of the phrasing or layouts of the stat blocks. This is great news, and we are thankful to the ttrpg community for providing quick and efficient feedback to Wizard's of the Coast over the past two weeks.
The Antichrist: a live discussion.
We will be hosting a live discussion on the design process for the "Antichrist" as he will appear in Azrael's Guide to the Apocalypse on our Discord Server today at 6:00 PM (GMT), 1:00 PM (EST). This character will play an important and villainous role in the adventure, and so we put a lot of thought into both the visual design process as well as the narrative hooks for the character. If you are free later today, come and chat with the writers and artists behind the Antichrist in our #art-discussion channel!
Conquest Mini Prototype Painting
We received our first round of Prototypes for the Four Horseman minis from our friends at Trenchworx! As part of our "quality control" process, we went ahead and walked through the entire assembly and painting process for Conquest. So far these minis are really exceeding expectations, both in the detail of the craftsmanship as well as how they physically look on the table. For reference, each Horseman sits on a two-inch-diameter base (perfect for a "Large" creature on a standard one-inch grid), and looks incredibly imposing standing next to a standard 28mm heroic mini. There are still a couple of tweaks we are talking with Trenchworx about, but overall we were very happy with these for a first-round prototype. Feel free to watch the video to see our process. We don't have a lot of experience painting minis, so any miniature hobbyists out there should feel free to let us know all the mistakes we made during the paint process!
A New Art Showcase, and OGL in the News.

News About the OGL.
The Opening Gaming License (OGL) has been in the news quite a bit this month. For those who reached out to us expressing concern about this would affect our past, present, or future projects; worry not! Although these developments may affect how we choose to license our products moving forward, there is nothing that hampers our ability to do what we have always done: create unusual crossover religious content for 5E!
If you would like a more detailed response from us about the OGL, please visit our FAQ.
Meet the Archangels.
In other news, we will be hosting our second Art Showcase in our Discord Server later today. If you are free at 6:00 PM (GMT), feel free to drop by and chat with some of the artists and designers involved with Azrael's Guide. Today's topic is "The Archangels," and will feature Michael, Gabriel, Azrael, and Raphael.
